Interview with Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir on Dragon Age: Blue Wraith

I spoke to with Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir on the recently concluded comic miniseries Dragon Age: Blue Wraith for Deconstructing Comics.

For fans of the video games, we go in on:

  • Fenris, Fenris, Fenris

  • playing with genre in the Dragon Age world

  • our favourite Companions

  • the artistic style of Dragon Age and Fernando Heinz Furukawa’s approach.

In addition, I asked DeFilippis and Weir about their use of humour in their writing, and the interview turns into a therapy session on that abrupt departure from the X-Men universe.

Now you may not be aware of this - but I am a big fan of the games (‘cough’ ARPA award ‘cough’ for a review of Inquisition), so this was a personal thrill.

This episode also includes Tim Young and Kumar Sivasubramanian's review of An Embarrassment of Witches, by Sophie Goldstein and and Jenn Jordan from Top Shelf.
